China LCV Full Year 2020: Wuling Mini Truck breaks record again in market up 11.2%

The Wuling Mini Truck sold over 500.000 units in China in 2020.

Wholesales of new Light Commercial Vehicles in China soar 11.2% year-on-year in 2020 to 3.647.832 units, with Medium and Heavy Commercials up an even more impressive 29.3% to 1.882.011 units. Among LCVs, Wuling (+11.6%) almost matches the market to surpass 760.000 sales, distancing Foton (+17.3%) like last year. Dongfeng (+13.2%) overtakes Changan (-10.5%) to climb onto the podium. Great Wall (+51.2%) surges from #8 to #5 overall thanks to its new Pao pickup. CNHTC (+78%), Maxus (+56.2%) and JMC (+23.8%) also vastly outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10.

Over in the LCV models ranking, the Wuling Mini Truck (+20.1%) continues to dominate the charts and crosses the half-million annual sales mark for the first time. Like last December, the Mini Truck breaks its all-time monthly volume record in December 2020, lifting it to 57.776 units. The Foton Light Truck (+19.1%) also almost doubles the market growth rate to remain in 2nd position overall, while the Dongfeng Light Truck (+26%) steps onto the podium.
