Bulgaria January 2021: Citroen (+61%), Dacia (+18.9%) defy market down -20%
The Citroen C3 is the third best-selling vehicle in Bulgaria in January.
Sales of new passenger and light commercial vehicles drop -20% year-on-year in Bulgaria in January to 2.185 units. The performance of Dacia (+18.9%) is diametrically opposed to the market but it starts from a particularly low year-ago volume. The Romanian carmaker holds 12.7% share, just above Toyota (+2.2%) at 12.5% while Skoda (-26.7%) is at 11.7%. Renault (-4.3%) holds very well unlike Volkswagen (-29.5%). The best performer in the Top 10 is Citroen (+61%) up four spots on December to #6. Peugeot (+0.8%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 13. Further down, Jaguar (+225%) and Mazda (+20%) also sport upticks.
Model-wise, the Dacia Dokker threepeats at #1 but at 5.1% its share is lower than that of FY2020 (5.3%). The Toyota Corolla is up 3 spots on December to #2 and the Citroen C3 up 12 to #3. The Dacia Duster remains at #4, the Skoda Octavia is down two spots to #5 and the Renault Clio, leader over the Full Year 2020, is down four to #6. Notice also excellent performances by the Toyota C-HR up 9 ranks to #7 and the Skoda Scala up five to #9.
