Philippines August 2020: Market still reeling -39.5%, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Nissan lead

Mitsubishi holds 13.6% of the Filipino market in August.

While the country totals 344.000 Covid cases (#18 in the world), new car sales in the Philippines remain decimated by the crisis at -39.5% year-on-year in August to just 19.770 according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI). Year-to-date, Filipino sales are off -48.7% to just 134.617. In August, Toyota holds 40.7% of the market thanks to 8.044 sales, distancing Mitsubishi at 2.681 and 13.6%  and Nissan at 1.881 and 9.5%. Year-to-date, Toyota leads above Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai and Suzuki.
