China LCV August 2020: CNHTC (+185%), Great Wall (+80%) send market up 31.5%

The new Pao helps lift Great Wall sales up 80% in August.

Light Commercial Vehicle sales in China continue to surge in August at +31.5% to 314.765 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 9.7% to 2.256.422. Wuling (+27.3%) once again dominates the brands ranking head and shoulders with almost 70.000 sales, distancing Foton (+44%) and Dongfeng (+29.7%). CNHTC (+185%) posts the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 10 by far, followed by Great Wall (+80%), JAC (+63.4%) and Maxus (+46.7%). The Wuling Mini Truck (+29.3%) tops an unchanged podium ahead of the Foton Light Truck (+46.7%) and Dongfeng Light Truck (+46%).
