Ukraine June 2020: Ford (+146.7%), Mercedes (+51.3%), Kia (+39.3%) help tilt market back to positive (+12.4%)
Ford Kuga sales shoot up 176.4% year-on-year in June.
The Ukrainian new car market shoots back into positive in June at +12.4% year-on-year to 7.306 units, leading to a First Half 2020 tally down just -4% to 37.144. Renault (+18.8%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date at 15.8% share, toppling Toyota (-4.3%) at 14.4%. Mercedes (+51.3%), Kia (+39.3%), Peugeot (+30.2%), Skoda (+29%) and Mazda (+24.2%) all manage to outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10 while further down, Ravon (+1150%), Audi (+239.5%), Haval (+236.8%), Opel (+192.6%), Ford (+146.7%), Land Rover (+59.7%), Mitsubishi (+32.9%) and Lexus (+32.6%) stand out with spectacular gains. In the models ranking, the Kia Sportage (+39.4%) holds 8% of the Ukrainian market this month, earning the YTD top spot and distancing the Toyota RAV4 (+29.7%), Renault Duster (+48.2%), Sandero (+58.9%) and Skoda Octavia (+21.7%). The Ford Kuga (+176.4%) scores the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 10 while the Peugeot 301 (+68.4%) is up 11 spots on May to #8.
