Slovakia June 2020: Skoda (+8.2%), Renault (+10.3%) buck negative trend (-20.2%)
Renault Clio sales are up 129.3% year-on-year in Slovakia in June.
New car sales in Slovakia drastically reduce their fall in June at -20.2% year-on-year to 7.502 units, leading to a H1 2020 tally down -34.7% to 34.015. Brand leader Skoda (+8.2%) completely bucks the negative trends with a sturdy year-on-year uptick, with Renault (+10.3%) the only Top 13 brands in positive. Hyundai (-9.8%) manages to contain its fall to single-digits at #2 overall, as does Toyota (-9.4%) at #7. Below, Ssangyong (+700%), Land Rover (+92.3%), Subaru (+46.2%), Audi (+21%), Jaguar (+18.2%), Porsche (+10.5%) and Jeep (+8.8%) also shine with year-on-year gains. Model-wise, the Skoda Fabia (+2.5%) easily retains the top spot above the Skoda Octavia (-12.7%) while the Renault Clio (+129.3%) surges up to #3 overall, earning a spot in the YTD Top 10 in the process at #8. The Hyundai Tucson (-13%) is up to #4 just as the Skoda Kamiq drops to #7. The Skoda Scala (+60.8%), Citroen C3 (+25.2%) and Skoda Karoq (+1.6%) also secure year-on-year gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
