Kazakhstan June 2020: Lada (+91.6%) tops euphoric market (+55.1%)
The Lada Granta is back to #1 in Kazakhstan.
New car sales in Kazakhstan confirm they have recovered from Covid-19, posting a second consecutive double-digit year-on-year gain in June at a spectacular +55.1% to 9.924 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 12.8% to 36.205. The Top 3 brands in June all score stunning gains: Lada is up 91.6% to 25.6% share, Hyundai up 47.6% to 20.3% and Ravon up 483.4% to 12.8%. Kia (+253.3%), Chevrolet (+177.8%) and GAZ (+73.5%) also vastly outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10 but Toyota (-15.8%) and Nissan (-5.2%) underperform. Model-wise, the Lada Granta (+162.7%) reclaims the top spot off the Ravon Nexia R3 (+389.9%) with the Lada 4×4 (+109.2%) rounding out a podium entirely composed of namelates more than doubling their volumes year-on-year. The Kia Sportage (+7900%), Hyundai Creta (+111.3%) and Lada Vesta (+61.1%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
