Kazakhstan July 2020: Lada (+24.2%), Chevrolet (+376%) headline another positive run (+6.5%)
Lada Granta sales are up 91.7% year-on-year in July.
The Kazakh new car market continues on its impressive post-pandemic run in July with sales up 6.5% year-on-year to 7.517 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 11.6% to 43.658. Lada (+24.2%) cements its brands leadership at 23.4% share, distancing Hyundai (-10.5%) at 16.5% while Ravon (+182.2%) continues to rally up at 12.2% share and Toyota (-40.4%) straggles at #4. In the remainder of the Top 10, Chevrolet (+376%), Volkswagen (+151.1%), Kia (+151%) and GAZ (+40.4%) all post spectacular gains. Model-wise, the Lada Granta (+91.7%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year to hold 11% of the market, ranking above the Ravon Nexia R3 (+116.5%) and Hyundai Accent (+76.1%) both vastly outpacing the market. The Lada 4×4 (+6.8%) matches the market at #4 vs. #8 so far this year, while the Ravon R4 (+2230%), Kia Rio (+290.6%) and Lada Largus (+57.1%) also shine in the Top 10.
