Estonia June 2020: Mazda (+93.1%), Peugeot (+16.4%) defy market down -33.9%
Mazda3 sales are up 6-fold year-on-year in Estonia in June.
The Estonian new car market drops another -33.9% on corrected year-ago volumes in June to 1.673 registrations, pulling the year-to-date tally down -35.6% to 9.390. Toyota (-37.9%) reclaims the top spot off Skoda (-20.9%) despite falling faster than the market while Kia (-32.7%) is up two spots on May to round out the podium above Volkswagen (-19.5%). Peugeot (+16.4%) scores the only year-on-year gain in the Top 8, and a double-digit one at that, whereas Renault (-64%) and Dacia (-58.2%) implode. Mazda (+93.1%) almost doubles its sales vs. June 2019 to storm into the Top 10 at #9, while further down Land Rover (+120%), Volvo (+40.7%), Porsche (+35.7%), Alfa Romeo (+33.3%) and Suzuki (+20%) also buck the negative trend.
Model-wise, the Toyota RAV4 (+6.3%) also swims upstream to cements its leadership at 8% share, well above the Toyota Corolla (-59.6%) at 4.7% and the Skoda Octavia (-40.5%) at 3.9%. The Skoda Kodiaq rallies back up 10 spots to #4 and the Peugeot 308 (+141.2%) and 3008 (+118.2%) score the largest gains in the Top 10. The Skoda Kamiq (#13) remains the most popular recent launch.
