Cyprus April 2020: Toyota RAV4 and C-HR top market down -77.9%
The Toyota RAV4 is #1 in Cyprus in April.
Cyprus has managed to contain the spread of the coronavirus, with 916 cases as of May 18 vs. 750 as of April 17. But quarantine measures mean its new car market is hit as hard as the rest of Europe, with April new car sales down -77.9% year-on-year to 234 units according to our partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, leading to a year-to-date tally down -39.9% to 3.154. Only three vehicles manage to sell more than 10 units for the month: the Toyota RAV4, C-HR and VW T-Roc, and the C-HR takes this opportunity to snap the YTD leadership above the Toyota Yaris, Kia Stonic and Hyundai Tucson. The Ford Focus is up 14 spots to #5 while the Porsche Cayenne makes its first appearance in the YTD Top 30, estimated to rank equal #5 in April.
