Sri Lanka Full Year 2019: Suzuki Alto dominates market freefalling -27%
The Suzuki Alto remains by far the favourite new car in Sri Lanka.
New car sales in Sri Lanka sink -27% year-on-year in 2019 to just 9.545 registrations, the weakest annual tally since 2012 (9.500). This also means the Sri Lankan market has imploded -72.6% since its record high of 34.900 units in 2016, dropping -56.7% to 15.116 in 2017 and -13.5% to 13.081 in 2018. The Indian-made Suzuki Alto continues to dominate the Sri Lankan models charts head and shoulders, teasing the 50% market share mark at its best.
