New Caledonia (France) January-February 2020: Dacia Duster and Peugeot 208 top market up 10.6%
The Peugeot 208 is up 64.9% over the first two months of the year.
Over January and February 2020, new car sales in New Caledonia, a French overseas archipelago located north-east of Australia, gain a cool 10.6% year-on-year to 1.174 registrations. Toyota (+48.3%) sees its sales shoot up year-on-year, holding onto the brands top spot it commanded over FY2019. Dacia (+13.5%) is also in outstanding shape at #2, while Peugeot (-6.7%) not so much, rounding out the podium. Nissan (+153.3%), Ford (+28.9%), Subaru (+28.1%) and Hyundai (+16.7%) also vastly outperform the market in the remainder of the Top 10. In the models ranking, the Dacia Duster (-18.3%) remains the most popular on the archipelago, followed this month by the Peugeot 208 (+64.9%) and Toyota Hilux (+29.7%). The Hyundai Tucson (+200%), Dacia Sandero (+105.6%), Subaru XV (+61.1%), Toyota Yaris (+48%) and Renault Clio (+32.3%) also shine in the Top 10.
