Estonia February 2020: Toyota (+55.2%), Peugeot (+45.6%) can’t help market drop -4.9%

New car sales in Estonia drop -4.9% year-on-year to 1.753 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -2.9% to 4.047. Note our year-ago figures have now been updated with actuals which is the reason behind the slight difference with our 2019 articles. Toyota (+55.2%) continues to ignore the weak environment to shoot up to 19.7% share this month and 19.9% YTD (+77.9%), easily distancing Skoda (-1.3%) and Renault (-18.9%) just as Peugeot (+45.6%) and Citroen (+14.6%) both step up two spots on January to #4 and #5 respectively. Audi (+67.9%) and Hyundai (+59%) post the largest gains in the Top 10 – and Top 20 – whereas Honda (-36.7%) and Volkswagen (-28%) implode. Model-wise, the Toyota RAV4 (+22.5%) holds onto the top spot ahead of the Renault Clio (-22.2%) with the Toyota Corolla (+190.3%) leaping onto the podium.The Peugeot 3008 (+261.5%), 5008 (+200%), Renault Megane (+24.2%) and Skoda Octavia (+13.1%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
