Yemen Q3 2019: Toyota holds 93.3% share, Land Rover up 176% in market up 44.3%
The Range Rover ranks 5th in Yemen over Q3 2019.
The Yemeni new light vehicle continues to recover somewhat at +44.3% year-on-year over Q3 but the volumes remain low at 2.065, leading to a year-to-date tally up 67% to 6.418. With BMW off the official reports once again, Toyota (+42.9%) tightens its grip on the Yemeni charts even further to an almost incredible 93.3% share. Land Rover (+176%) can only muster 3% share but it’s enough for a 2nd place overall, while slowly but surely, some carmakers return to Yemen such as Hyundai (#4). The Toyota Land Cruiser (+79%) is in line with its YTD level at 51.7% share vs. 51.1%, distancing the Toyota Hilux (+31%), Land Cruiser Pickup (-44.4%) and Prado (+290.9%). These 4 nameplates account for over 88% of Yemen sales over Q3. The Range Rover rounds up the Top 5, the Toyota Rush is the most popular new launch at #7 above the Toyota Ace at #10.
