Hong Kong (China) July 2019: BMW (+41.6%), Lamborghini (+1033%) tilt market to first gain since March (+0.8%)

BMW sales gain 41.6% year-on-year in Hong Kong in July.

New light vehicle sales in Hong Kong manage their first year-on-year gain since last March at +0.8% in July to 3.403 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -4.5% to 22.641. Toyota (+2.8%) easily keeps the lead of the brands ranking at 34.9% share, distancing Mercedes (-10.2%) and Honda (-33.3%) while BMW (+41.6%) surges ahead in 4th place. Lamborghini (+1033.3%), Citroen (+850%), Ferrari (+600%), Hyundai (+425%), Suzuki (+321.1%), Infiniti (+53.8%), Lexus (+37.5%), Mitsubishi (+36.8%) and Mini (+24.3%) also shine further down.
