Slovakia July 2019: Kia (+75.6%), Hyundai (+71.5%) shoot up in market up 8.3%

Kia sales surge 75.6% year-on-year in July in Slovakia.

The Slovak new car market gains 8.3% year-on-year in July to 9.443 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 1.5% to 61.518. Brand leaders Skoda (+14.1%), Kia (+75.6%) and Hyundai (+71.5%) all post spectacular gains, knocking Volkswagen (-2%) down two spots to #4. Opel (+49.6%), Dacia (+40.8%), Citroen (+30.9%) and Toyota (+19.3%) also impress in the Top 10 whereas Renault (-43.9%) dives. The Skoda Fabia (+16.4%) remains the best-selling model in the country, resisting attacks rom the Kia Cee’d (+98.8%) at #2 and the Hyundai i30 (+107.9%) at #4. The Skoda Octavia (+26.1%) is also in great shape at #3 while the Dacia Duster (+58.5%) rounds up the Top 5 and the Skoda Karoq (+47.6%) is up one spot on June to #7.
