Kazakhstan August 2019: Lada back on top above Hyundai (+71.7%) in 6th double-digit gain in a row (+15.7%)

The Hyundai Elantra surges 149.1% year-on-year in August.

New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan enjoy a 6th consecutive month of double-digit year-on-year gains at +15.7% in August to 6.393 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 20% to 45.513. Lada (+13.8%) is back in the brands pole position for the first time since last April, cementing its YTD lead and distancing Hyundai (+71.7%) and Toyota (-0.8%) for the month. The aforementioned three brands hold a mammoth 60.9% of the Kazakh market in August, in line with their YTD score (61.8%). Ravon (+32200%) is back in business at #4, with Volkswagen (+147.9%) and Renault (+23.3%) also outpacing the market in the Top 10. Model-wise, the Toyota Camry (+42.4%) reigns supreme at 9% share ahead of the Lada Granta (+27.2%), Vesta (+56.1%) and Hyundai Tucson (+15.8%). The Ravon Nexia R3 is up two spots on July to #5 and the Hyundai Elantra (+149.1%), Creta (+85.7%) and Accent (+72.3%) post the largest gains in the Top 10.
