UK nations July 2019: Nissan Qashqai tops Northern Ireland

The Nissan Qashqai is #1 in Northern Ireland for only the 2nd time in the past 4 years.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you today the Top 10 best-sellers for all UK nations in July. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are included in the July UK update. This month Northern Ireland (+1.2%) is the only UK nation in positive at 3.758 sales, with Wales (-1.2%) at 5.551 and Scotland (-2%) at 11.404 managing slim drops and England (-4.6%) falling slightly faster than the UK market as a whole at 135.904 units. Year-to-date, Northern Ireland is once again the best performing UK nation at -0.3% to 34.595 followed by Wales at -1.6% to 48.242, Scotland at -3.3% to 109.820 and England at -3.7% to 1.230.097.

The Ford Fiesta ranks #1 in 3 out of 4 nations: England, Scotland and Wales, but is down to #3 Northern Ireland where the Nissan Qashqai is #1 for the 4th time in the past 6 years after October 2013, July 2014 and July 2018. The Qashqai also ranks #3 in England and Scotland. The Vauxhall Corsa is #2 in Scotland and Wales, the VW Golf is #2 in England and the Ford Kuga is #2 Northern Ireland and #3 Wales. Other great performers include the VW T-Roc up to best-selling VW In Scotland at #6, the MG ZS snapping its 6th Top 10 finish in the past 13 months in Wales at #8, the new Toyota Corolla cracking its first Top 10 finish in any UK nation in Northern Ireland (#8), the Ford Ecosport scoring its first ever Scottish Top 10 at #10 and the Peugeot 3008 up to #10 in Northern Ireland.
