Slovakia June 2019: Skoda Fabia and Dacia Duster on top, Opel Crossland X in Top 10
The Opel Crossland X is now inside the YTD Slovak Top 10.
The Slovak new car market edges down -0.7% year-on-year in June to 9.396 units, however the year-to-date tally remains in positive at +3.7% to 52.085. Brand leader Skoda (+7.2%) goes against the grain with a sturdy uptick ay 17.4% share whereas Volkswagen (-1.5%) skids down to 9.1% at #2. Strikingly given the market decline, the remainder of the Top 8 brands all post spectacular double-digit gains with Opel (+72.6%), Kia (+50.9%), Hyundai (+43.3%) and Dacia (+40.6%) the most dynamic and Peugeot (+24.9%) and Toyota (+22.7%) also very strong. In contrast, Seat (-46.4%), Ford (-45.7%), Nissan (-29.2%), Renault (-26.8%) and Suzuki (-24.9%) all implode. Model-wise, the Skoda Fabia (+69.6%) and Dacia Duster (+194.6%) shoot up to the top, with the Fabia reclaiming the #1 YTD spot off the Skoda Octavia (-7.7%) and the Opel Crossland X breaks into the Top 10 at #7, earning the #10 spot YTD.
