Poland June 2019: Corolla (+165.4%), RAV4 (+192%) lift Toyota up 31.9% in market down -2.6%

Second consecutive Top 10 finish in Poland for the Toyota RAV4.

The Polish new car market drops -2.6% year-on-year in June to 51.073 units including light commercials, yet the YTD tally easily remains in positive at +2.5% and 313.224 registrations. Passenger cars are down -2.3% to 43.918 in June and up 1.9% to 272.159 YTD. Toyota (+31.9%) goes completely against the grain, signing the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 15 by far and staying at #1 for the 2nd straight month. In contrast Skoda (-19.7%) and Volkswagen (-18.3%) are hit hard on the podium. Dacia (+17.6%) continues to impress as do BMW (+23.7%), Fiat (+19.7%) and Mazda (#15) further down.

Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (+165.4%) doubles down on its first ever pole position with another win ahead of the Dacia Duster (+62.9%) remaining in excellent shape. The Skoda Octavia (-13.2%) and Fabia (-26.8%) are knocked down to #3 and #4. Toyota also celebrates the new RAV4 (+192%) with an equally impressive lift, scoring a 2nd consecutive Top 10 finish at #9 after a 5-year drought (since April 2014). The Fiat Tipo (+57.9%), Renault Clio (+36.9%) and Toyota Yaris (+13.5%) also shine in the Top 10.
