North Macedonia May 2019: Ford places Focus and Fiesta on podium in market up 22.8%

The Ford Focus is the best-selling vehicle in North Macedonia in May.

According to data released by our Eastern European data specialist partner CE Auto, new car sales in the Republic of Macedonia gain 22.8% year-on-year in May to 629 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now up 35.5% to 2.335. Ford places the Focus (+78.6%) at #1 and the Fiesta (+40%) at #3, sandwiching the Dacia Duster (+76.9%) with the VW Golf (+11.1%) and Opel Corsa (+233.3%) in tow. After scoring its first Top 10 finish last month, the VW T-Roc is up a further 4 spots to #6, while the Toyota RAV4 cracks the Top 10 for the first time since BSCB started following this market monthly in 2014. The Ford Kuga implodes to just 4 sales, losing its YTD top spot as a result and falling to #4, overtaken by the VW Golf, Dacia Duster and Kia Sportage in this order.
