Hungary April 2019: Suzuki Vitara back to #1, Opel Astra on podium in market up 3%

The Opel Astra is on the Hungarian podium in April.

New car sales in Hungary edge up 3% year-on-year to 12.412 units in April, leading to a year-to-date tally up 7% to 46.746. The Suzuki Vitara (-38.1%) is back in the lead of the models ranking for the first time since last January and despite a devastating loss, holding back the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (+49.3%) remaining in excellent shape. The Opel Astra (+51.5%) leaps up to #3, knocking the Skoda Octavia (+28.1%) and Dacia Duster (+12.6%) down to #4 and #5 respectively and the Renault Clio (+226.8%), Opel Corsa (+165.6%) and Fiat 500 (+88.3%) post the largest gains in the Top 10.
