Greece May 2019: Suzuki (+114.7%), Toyota (+37.8%) help market up 10.9%

The Suzuki Swift is up 6-fold year-on-year to #5 in Greece.

New car sales in Greece soar 10.9% year-on-year in May to 13.832 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up  52.424. Toyota (+37.8%) almost quadruples the market growth to hold onto the brands top spot at 10.5% share, distancing Fiat (-12.7%), Peugeot (+19.6%) and Suzuki (+114.7%) posting the largest gain in the Top 20. Mitsubishi (+194.1%), Land Rover (+76.5%), Audi (+63.4%), Honda (+62.9%), Hyundai (+57.9%) and Citroen (+25.1%) also shine. Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+76.8%) reigns supreme above the Fiat Panda (-8.6%), Opel Corsa (+12.1%), Hyundai i20 (+18.3%) and Suzuki Swift (+471.4%), with 9 out of the Top 9 models being small cars and the the Opel Astra (+66.4%) the only larger one in the Top 10 at #10.
