Pakistan April 2019: Toyota Corolla (+6.5%), Suzuki Cultus (+5.1%) defy market down 24%

The Toyota Corolla manages a 6.3% uptick in a freefalling market.

Sales of locally-made light vehicles in Pakistan freefall -24% year-on-year in April to 19.437 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now down 10% to 84.752. Suzuki (-27%) and Honda (-38.4%) take the brunt of the fall whereas Toyota (-7.2%) limits its decline for the month. The Toyota Corolla (+6.3%) and Suzuki Cultus (+5.1%) are the only two locally-made nameplates to manage a year-on-year uptick, ranking #1 and #4 respectively.
