Greece February 2019: Citroen (+56.3%), Fiat (+52.8%), Hyundai (+48%) shine in market up 10.6%
Citroen is the fastest grower among the top carmakers in Greece this month.
New car sales in Greece continue on an excellent start of 2019 with February up 10.6% to 7.561 leading to a year-to-date tally up 6.7% to 16.771. Toyota (+6.7%) and Peugeot (+17.8%) keep control of the brands ranking ahead of Fiat (+52.8%) up 6 spots on January to #3. Citroen (+56.3%), Suzuki (+48.9%), Hyundai (+48%) and Volkswagen (+31.1%) post the largest gains in the Top 10, while below Dacia (+111.6%), Land Rover (+100%), Volvo (+83.5%), Audi (+66.7%), BMW (+35%), Honda (+34.9%) and Mitsubishi (+34.5%) all frankly beat the market while among smaller brands Jaguar (+800%), Subaru (+200%), Abarth (+66.7%) and Lexus (+66.7%) impress.
Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+6.8%) remains on top but is caught up this month by the Fiat Panda (+75.5%) up 25 spots on January to #2, and the Opel Corsa (+50%) down one to #3. The Peugeot 208 (-9%) and Nissan Qashqai (+12.9%) round up the Top 5 while the VW Golf (+159.7%), Peugeot 3008 (+123.9%), VW Polo (+51.2%) and Citroen C3 (+35.7%) also shine in the Top 10. Further down, the Dacia Duster (+303.2%), Toyota C-HR (+64.6%) and VW T-Roc (+48.6%) shoot up while the Hyundai Kona (#22) tops recent launches way above the Citroen C5 Aircross (#90).
