Cyprus February 2019: Hyundai Kona best-seller, Kia Stonic & Nissan Qashqai on podium in market down 19.6%

The Hyundai Kona is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in February.

Thanks to our partnership with SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, we can share with you today February data for Cyprus, but the news are ghastly: -19.6% year-on-year to 871 registrations, pulling the year-to-date volume down 17.8% to just 1.876 units. The Hyundai Kona, launched less than a year ago, is the best-selling nameplate in the country this month, followed by its cousin the Kia Stonic (-50.4%) who is now #1 YTD, with the Nissan Qashqai (+90.6%) making the podium 100% crossovers. The Toyota Yaris (-2.4%) follows and is the only passenger car in the Top 5 with the Kia Sportage (+73.9%) just below. Outstanding performances of the VW T-Roc (+1400%), Ford Fiesta (+171.4%), Nissan X-Trail (+133.3%) and Nissan Juke (+52.6%). Also a recent launch, the Hyundai i20 makes its first appearance in the Cyprus Top 20 at #17, with the Volvo XC40 at the same level.
