Japan Full Year 2018: Now with exclusive Top 175 local models

The new generation Toyota Century landed in Japan in June 2018.

As is now the tradition on BSCB, we can now shine a more detailed light on the sales of all local models in Japan, ordered by variant. The Honda N-BOX (+14%) is in the lead ahead of the Suzuki Spacia (+45.2%), Daihatsu Tanto (-3.4%), Nissan Note (-1.9%) and Toyota Aqua (-3.8%). The Suzuki WagonR (-5.8%) now outsells the Toyota Prius (-30%) down 5 spots to #7 while the Nissan Serena (+18.3%), Toyota Sienna (-2.9%) and Toyota Voxy (+4.6%) round up the Top 10.

The Daihatsu Mira Tocot has sold over 20.000 units since its June launch.

The Suzuki Xbee (#43) is the best-selling 2018 launch, distancing the Daihatsu Mira Tocot (#56), Toyota Corolla Sport (#57) which is the new generation hatch, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (#72), Honda CR-V (#90), Lexus UX (#129), Lexus ES (#144), Toyota Century (#150) and Honda Clarity (#152). Among 2017 launches, the Mazda CX-8 (+1375.3%) is in the lead at #42 above the Honda Civic Hatch at #65 (+531.6%), Honda Civic R at #118 (+366.8%), Lexus LC at #132 (-38.7%) and Honda NSX at #151 (+85.9%).
