Serbia Full Year 2018: Skoda Octavia ends Fiat 500L reign in market up 12.1%

The Serbian new car market soars up 12.1% year-on-year in 2018 to 33.087 registrations according to our Eastern European partner CE Auto. Local publication Vrele Gume has this figure at 30.730. Fiat (+11.6%) improves its share to 14.3% while Skoda (+13.4%) advances to 13.2%, distancing VW (-3.2%), Renault (+7.4%) and Dacia (+8.7%). The local domination of the Serbia-made Fiat 500L (-30.4%) has taken a significant step back this year, with the nameplate slipping outside the Top 2 for the first time since 2012. Instead, the Skoda Octavia (+34%) celebrates its first ever annual win in Serbia and is seconded by the Skoda Fabia (+61%). The Rapid (+31.5%) and Superb (+23.9%) make it an incredible 4 Skodas in the 2018 Serbian Top 6. The Fiat Tipo (#9) dislodges the Ford Fiesta from the annual Top 10.
