Singapore November 2018: Toyota leads, Hyundai (+65%) and VW (+23%) strong in market down 11.9%

Hyundai sales gain 65% year-on-year in Singapore in November.

New car sales in Singapore endure another month of decline in November at -11.9% to 6.769 registrations, pulling the year-to-date tally down 9.2% to 74.297. Toyota (-23%) manages to remain on top of the brands ranking with 17.7% and despite a hefty fall, distancing Honda (-21%) at 13% but the latter is still #1 YTD with 18.8% share vs. 17.1% for Toyota. Hyundai (+65%), Volkswagen (+23%), Subaru (+18%), Kia (+14%) and Mazda (+10%) all go against the grain with sizeable gains. Further down, Mitsubishi (+41%), Seat (+38%) and Suzuki (+18%) also impress while Skoda shoots up to #13 with 1.7% share vs. #19 and 0.5% so far this year.
