Serbia October 2018: Podium 100% Skoda in market up 23.4%

Skoda Fabia sales are up 139% year-on-year in October thanks to its facelift.

Based on data released by our partner CE Auto, the Serbian new car market soars 23.4% year-on-year in October to 2.620 units, leading to a year-to-date tally now up 11.6% to 27.829. For the first time since BSCB started following Serbia monthly back in 2013, the podium is 100% Skoda with the Octavia (+11%), Fabia (+139%) and Rapid (+79%) best-sellers the month. Traditionally the most popular vehicle in the country, the locally-produced Fiat 500L (-11%) is struggling this year and has fallen to #3 YTD, ranking 4th in October. Skoda even manages to place a 4th nameplate in the October Top 5: the Superb (+38%), while the Dacia Sandero (+139%), Ford Fiesta (+123%) and Renault Clio (+123%) all post spectacular gains but are relegated to the second half of the Top 10 this month.
