It’s a second consecutive post-WLTP month of double-digit decline for Danish new car sales with October down 10.1% to 16.674, flipping the year-to-date tally into negative territory at -0.3% and 186.718 units. Volkswagen (+4%) is already back in positive at an ultra-dominant 15.4% share, distancing Peugeot (-15%) and Toyota (-8%) while BMW (+73%), Mercedes (+42%) and Citroen (+15%) impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Suzuki (-35%) and Opel (-20%) struggle on the other hand. Below, Volvo (+48%), Mazda (+43%) and Fiat (+15%) are among the rare gainers. The VW Golf (-1%) comfortably tops the models ranking despite a small drop, ahead of the Peugeot 208 (-13%) and Toyota Yaris (+7%) while the Skoda Octavia (+30%) and Citroen C3 (+161%) both post spectacular gains in the remainder of the Top 5. The VW Polo (+818%), BMW 5 Series (+238%) and Ford Fiesta (+65%) all soar, benefitting from new generations, and the VW T-Roc (#29) tops recent launches (<12 months) above the Hyundai Kona (#53), Seat Arona (#58) and Citroen C4 Spacetourer (#61).
