Lithuania June 2018: Fiat Tipo up to second place

The Fiat Tipo is the 2nd best-selling nameplate in Lithuania this month.

Thanks to our partnership with JATO Dynamics, we can share with you today Lithuanian data for June. New car sales in the country shoot up by a splendid 20.3% year-on-year to 3.221 for the month, leading to a YTD tally up 24.6% to 15.966. The Fiat 500 (-3%) continues to dominate the sales charts in Lithuania, still commanding an overwhelming 15.3% share despite a small decline. The Fiat Tipo is up 34-fold (!) on its June 2017 score to snap the 2nd spot overall and crosses the symbolic 10% market share milestone for the second time after last December. It now ranks #3 YTD, with the Fiat 500X (#2) making the YTD podium 100% Fiat for the first time in Lithuanian history. The VW Golf (+110%), Toyota C-HR (+96%), Toyota RAV4 (+87%), Kia Sportage (+61%) and Skoda Octavia (+46%) also frankly outpace the market inside the Top 10 whereas the VW Passat (-36%) and Nissan Qashqai (-32%) are in great difficulty.
