The Greek new car market brilliantly posts a 13th consecutive month of double-digit gains at +24% in June to 12.571 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 23.7% to 62.312 halfway through 2018. This is the highest First Half volume in Greece since 2010. Toyota (+34%) reclaims the top spot to holds year-to-date at 9.7% but ends June only four sales above Volkswagen (+78%) up two spots on May but still #3 YTD like in FY2017. Nissan (-5%) rallies back up three spots on last month to #3 despite a year-on-year decline, distancing Suzuki (+56%), Peugeot (+27%) and Hyundai (+67%) all beating the market. Leader in May, Fiat (-21%) tumbles down to #7 this month and posts the largest year-on-year drop in the Top 15. Notice also Kia (+515%), Dacia (+371%), Seat (+92%) and Volvo (+86%) all scoring spectacular gains in the Top 20.

In the models ranking, the Toyota Yaris (+22%) is back on top as it is YTD and it was last year, but the VW Polo (+87%) lurks just 8 sales below with the Nissan Micra (-13%) rounding up the podium and up 8 spots on May. The Hyundai i10 (+110%) and most strikingly the Kia Picanto (+2775%!) lodge the largest gains in the Top 10 just as the Fiat Panda (-27%) crumbles down from #1 in May to #5 now. Further down, the Seat Ibiza (+88%), Suzuki Swift (+151%), Peugeot 308 (+513%) and Toyota Auris (+104%) also impress in the Top 20 while the VW T-Roc (#25) tops all recent launches ahead of the Seat Arona (#41), Skoda Karoq (#42), Volvo XC40 (#53), Jeep Compass (#55) and Kia Stonic (#58).
