Israel May 2018: Hyundai surges 32% to cement lead

Hyundai is the most popular carmaker in Israel so far in 2018.

Thanks to our partnership with cartube.co.il, we can share with you today May brands data for Israel, models data is now a quarterly occurrence. This month new car sales are up 3.7% to 25.798 units, however the YTD volume remains in negative territory at -2.4% to 139.631. Hyundai surges 32% to 15.7% share cementing its YTD lead and posting a 3rd consecutive month win, distancing sister brand Kia (+6%) while Toyota tumbles down 24% to 9.5% share. Skoda (+10%) keeps at the #4 it also holds YTD while below, Mitsubishi (+69%), Nissan (+44%) and Seat (+36%) post the largest gains in the Top 10. Further down, MG (+4900%), Infiniti (+193%), Ssangyong (+100%) and Peugeot (+76%) impress but Ford (-44%), Fiat (-41%), Honda (-30%), Audi (-29%), Mini (-28%), Dacia (-27%), Volkswagen (-27%) and Renault (-24%) struggle.
