Latvia January 2018: VW Golf #1, Peugeot places 3 models in Top 10

The Peugeot 2008 is up to #6 in Latvia in January.

According to data released by JATO Dynamics, the Latvian new car market is up 5.8% year-on-year in January to 1.529 units. The VW Golf triumphs with sales up 60% year-on-year to 5.8% share, outselling 2017’s leader the Nissan Qashqai up 8% to 3.6%. The VW Passat rounds up the podium like over FY17 despite deliveries plunging 32%. The Ford Fiesta is up 12% to #4 but the Toyota RAV4 is down 16% to #5. Excellent performance of Peugeot placing three nameplates inside the Top 10: the 2008 at #6 (+11%), the 308 at #7 (+100%) and the 208 at #10 (+250%) whereas none of them ranks in the FY2017 Top 10. The Toyota C-HR is up 75% to #9.
