Hungary February 2018: Suzuki Vitara & S-Cross beat market up 24.5%
The Suzuki Vitara holds 8.1% of the Hungarian market in February.

The Hungarian new car market soars 24.5% year-on-year in February to 9.962 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 30.8% to 18.853 units. Suzuki punches way above the market’s weight with a 70% year-on-year surge to 14.9% share, followed by Skoda (+24%), Ford (+31%), Opel (+10%) and Volkswagen (+38%). Kia (+78%) and Nissan (+49%) also beat the market in the Top 10 whereas Dacia is eagerly waiting for the launch of the new Duster but drops an estimated 41% in the meantime. Other great gainers year-to-date include Hyundai (+82%), Peugeot (+74%), Citroen (+49%) and Volvo (+48%).
In the models ranking, the Suzuki Vitara cements its leadership by almost doubling the market growth at +44% to 8.1% share, distancing the Skoda Octavia (+27%) while the Opel Astra is up four spots on January to #3. The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross surges 159% on February 2017 but drops one rank on last month to #4. The Nissan Qashqai is up 4 to #6, the Fiat 500 jumps from outside the January Top 30 directly to #9, the Fiat Ducato is up 13 spots to #10, the Ford Ranger up 17 to #11 while the Skoda Superb leaps up to #16 and the Renault Clio up to #20.
