Chile November 2017: Suzuki on top, Chinese up 55%, market up 19.9%

Another excellent month for new light vehicle sales in Chile: up 19.9% year-on-year to 34.458 registrations, lifting the year-to-date volume up 19.1% to 326.139 units, the second best ever score after eleven month after 2013 (340.215). Thanks to deliveries shooting up 56% on November 2016, Suzuki is up five spots on October takes the lead of the Chilean brands ranking for the first time since BSCB started following Chile two years ago. Hyundai is up three ranks to #2 despite a 5% drop, and is followed by Kia (+4%) and YTD leader Chevrolet (-8%). Mitsubishi (+34%), Mazda (+36%) and Peugeot (+39%) also frankly beat the market within the Top 10. Beyond, Foton (+65%), JAC (+65%), Renault (+68%), Changan (+69%), Chery (+84%), FAW (+89%), Volkswagen (+125%) and Maxus (+1227%) post the most spectacular gains. Chinese carmakers surge 55% year-on-year to 10.9% market share in November, slightly above the 10.2% they command year-to-date.
