Poland July 2017: Skoda Fabia edges past Octavia to lead for two units

The Skoda Fabia is the best-selling vehicle in Poland in July.

New light vehicle sales in Poland are up 16.6% year-on-year to 41.602 units including light commercials, lifting the year-to-date tally up 15.3% to 318.301 registrations. Market leader Skoda advances faster than the average growth with sales up 26% to 11.4% share, in line with its YTD level. Toyota surges 46% to overtake Volkswagen (-5%) and rank 2nd overall. The Japanese carmaker remains #3 year-to-date though. Fiat (+60%), Dacia (+22%), Kia (+32%), Mercedes (+42%) and BMW (+41%) all frankly outpace the market inside the Top 15. In the models ranking, the Skoda Fabia (+25%) edges past the YTD leader the Skoda Octavia (+22%) by just two units while the Opel Astra (-2%) rounds up the podium like last month and YTD. The Fiat Tipo celebrates a third consecutive month inside the Polish Top 10, the Toyota Corolla is up 221% to #10, the Kia Rio up 59% to #22, the Suzuki Baleno is up to #41, the Mazda CX-3 up to 46 and the Ford B-Max up to #49.
