Chile June 2017: Chevrolet back to #1, Chinese brands up 46%
Chery sales are up 142% year-on-year in Chile in June.

Chile returns on BSCB after a few months’ hiatus. June sales are up a very robust 15.6% year-on-year to 27.326 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 16% to 162.663 sales. Chevrolet (+20% in June and +19% YTD) reclaim the brands pole position it lost last year to Hyundai, itself now in 2nd place (+9%) ahead of Kia and Nissan, both up 5% this month. Inside the Top 10, Toyota (+32%), Ford (+33%) and Mitsubishi (+16%) beat the market while outside it’s Renault (+28%), Chery (+142%), the Great Wall Group (+45%), JAC (+79%), Changan (+29%), MG (+179%), Audi (+88%), BAIC (+66%), Foton (+106%), Lifan (+158%), FAW (+63%) and Maxus (+219%). The large majority of these spectacular increases is delivered by Chinese manufacturers which, as a whole, are up a fantastic 51% to 10.6% share in June and up 46% to 9.7% halfway through 2017.
