Denmark February 2017: Renault up 86% in market up 6%

There’s nothing stopping new car sales in Denmark, up another 6% year-on-year in February to 17.622 after surging 19% in January, lifting the year-to-date tally up 12% year-to-date to a record 37.156 units. Volkswagen leads the brands ranking at 13.3% share above Peugeot at 12.3% while Renault shoots up 86% year-on-year to 1.238 sales and 7% and 9 spots on January to third place. Toyota, Opel and Skoda follow and are the only carmaker with a four-digit sales figure for Denmark this month. Model-wise, the Peugeot 208 cements its domination with a strong 975 sales, distancing the Nissan Qashqai, VW Up and VW Polo while the Renault Clio is up 17 ranks on January to #5. Among recent launches, the Suzuki Baleno remains inside the Top 10 and the Fiat Tipo is up 81 spots on last month to #75.
