Vietnam November 2016: Toyota Vios and Kia Morning dominate

The Vietnamese new vehicle market slows down its exponential growth in November at just +5% to 28.442 registrations, meaning the year-to-date tally is now up 26% to 270.683. Thaco-Kia (7.296) continues to dominate the manufacturer ranking above Toyota (6.130) but only thanks to its Medium and heavy-truck lineup (3.838). Mazda holds onto the third spot at 9.3% share, ahead of Ford, Honda, Hyundai and Isuzu. In the models ranking, the Toyota Vios cements its leadership thanks to 2.447 sales and 8.6% ahead of the Kia Morning (6.3%), Ford Ranger (4.4%), Toyota Fortuner (4.3%) and Mazda3 (4.2%). All other passenger cars remain below 4% market share. The Toyota Yaris is up 10 spots on last month to #14, the newly-launched Nissan X-Trail gains one to #15 and the Isuzu MU-X is up 4 to #34.
