Nothing can stop the Danish new car market: up a further 6% to a record 18.007 sales in November which brings the year-to-date tally up 8% to 203.757 units, the first time Denmark crosses the 200.000 unit-benchmark after 11 months only and only a few thousand units shy of the all-time annual record of 207.717 established last year. Volkswagen continues to dominate the brands ranking with a splendid 14.8% market share vs. 11.9% so far in 2016. The German manufacturer distances Peugeot (11.2%), Opel (7.8%), Renault (6.7%) and Toyota (6%), while Mercedes soars 4 spots on October to break into the Top 10 at #9. Model-wise, the Peugeot 208 is back to the #1 spot it holds year-to-date with 5.5% share ahead of the VW Up (4.8%), Polo (3.2%) and Opel Astra (3%) up a further two ranks to #4, leading its segment above the VW Golf (#5) and Peugeot 308 (#6). Notice also the VW Passat up 84% to #7, the Hyundai i10 up 26% to #8 and the Citroen C3 up 47% to #11.
