Colombia October 2016: Kia and Ford improve in market down 14%

Ford sales are up 19% in October in a market down 14%, partly due to the success of the Ecosport.

The Colombian new vehicle market isn’t getting any better: down another 14% year-on-year in October to 19.193 registrations, bringing the year-to-date tally down 15% to 197.815. Chevrolet stays at the realm but skids down 22% to 4.740 units and 14.7% market share, with Renault down just 6% to 3.825 and 19.9% in second place and Kia actually up 7% to 2.131 and 11.1% in third position. Ford does even better with a 19% improvement to 6.5% share in 6th place. Suzuki (+5%), BMW (+15%), Honda (+7%), Audi (+32%), Ssangyong (+6%) and Mitsubishi Fuso (+83%) are the only other gainers in the Top 30, in ranking order.
