4.538 vehicles found a new home in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) over the First Half of 2016, with Toyota once again dominating the sales charts with a 18.3% market share. Renault (11.3%) overtakes Hyundai (11.2%) with Mitsubishi (10.1%) and Ford (7.1%) rounding up the Top 5. Peugeot ranks 6th ahead of Isuzu, Nisan and Kia while Chinese carmaker Great Wall manages to remain among the ten most popular marques in the country, ranking 10th so far in 2016 with a strong 3% market share.

The Toyota Hilux keeps the lead of the models ranking but sees its market share thaw from 10.9% over Q1 to 8.6% over H1. The Renault Duster for its part improves to 5.9% and is followed by two pickups: the Mitsubishi L200 and Mazda BT-50. In fact there is only passenger car in the Top 20: the Peugeot 301 at #6. The Ivorian market is indeed obliterated by pickups and SUVs. The Toyota RAV4, Ford Ranger and Hyundai Tucson are also popular, as well as the Great Wall Wingle at #10 and the dated Peugeot 4008 at #11. Notice also the Hyundai ix25 (aka Creta) making an appearance at #12.
