Slovenia May 2016: Renault surges 104% to 19.5% share, Clio #1
Renault sales in Slovenia more than double in May.

The Slovenian new car market is up a splendid 17% year-on-year in May to 6.235 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 8% to 28.488 units. Renault soars to the top of the brands ranking and more than doubles its sales year-on-year to 1.235 and 19.5% share, distancing Volkswagen (+8%), Skoda (-11%) and Opel (+10%). Dacia leaps up 47% to land in 5th position had of Fiat (+39%), Ford (-18%) and Peugeot (+9%). Hyundai (+134%) delivers the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 15, with BMW (+46%) and Mazda (+51%) also in great shape. Suzuki (+115%), Jeep (+130%) and Mini (+750%) take off. In the models ranking, the Renault Clio is triumphant at 12.7% share vs. 8% year-to-date, almost 4 times any other nameplate on the market: the Skoda Octavia and VW Golf, at #2 and #3, both hold 3.3% share. The Dacia Sandero and Duster round up the Top 5, with the Fiat 500 (#6), Renault Megane (#10) and VW Tiguan (#31) also strong.
