Serbia February 2016: Skoda Octavia edges into top spot

The Skoda Octavia leads the Serbian sales charts so far in 2016.

Thanks to Central European market data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu we can now report on the Serbian new car market for February, up 26% year-on-year to 1.630 registrations. This lifts the year-to-date total up 22% to 2.990 units. A wobbly start of the year by the 2015 leader, the locally-produced Fiat 500L (#2 with 4.7% share so far), has left the field open for other nameplates to shine in Serbia. After the Renault Clio in January, it’s the turn of the Skoda Octavia to rank #1 in February thanks to 80 sales and 4.9% share. The Skoda Fabia is up 7 spots on last month to #3 while the Skoda Superb (#7) and Opel Insignia (#10) break into the Top 10.
