Poland January-February 2016: Skoda Fabia edges past Octavia
The Skoda Fabia is #1 in Poland so far in 2016, thanks to sales up 75%.

The Polish new car market is up 9% in January to 35.792 registrations and a further 19% in February to 38.288 units, lifting the year-to-date total after two months to 74.080 sales, up 14% on the same period in 2015. Skoda is still master in command but gains less ground than the market (+8%) resulting in a reduced 12.3% share. Toyota is up 16% to snap the 2nd spot away from Volkswagen (+10%) at 7.737 sales and 10.4% share vs. 6.611 and 8.9%. Renault (+29%), Hyundai (+32%), Mercedes (+21%), BMW and Mazda (both at +76%) also shine. Thanks to a particularly strong January score (1.728 sales), the Skoda Fabia is in the lead year-to-date ahead of the Octavia at 2.902 deliveries (+75%) vs. 2.884 (+8%). This is going to be one tight battle this year. The Toyota Yaris (+8%) rounds up the podium above the Opel Astra (+44%) and Toyota Auris (+16%). The Hyundai Tucson lands at #16, the Ford Mondeo is up 165% to #22 and the Renault Kadjar is up to #29 in February, #41 so far in 2016.
