Israel February 2016: Hyundai leads again but Kia catches up

New car sales in Israel are up another 17% year-on-year in February, lifting the year-to-date total to 62.070 units after two months, up 12% on the same period in 2015. Only the brands ranking is available as models data are now a quarterly occurrence for Israel. Thanks to deliveries up a flamboyant 40% on February 2015 to 3.697 and 14.4% share, Hyundai remains atop the sales charts but this time it only has a 68 unit-advantage over sister brand Kia up an even more impressive 49% to 3.629 and 14.2%. Hyundai dominates year-to-date at 8.715 (14%) vs. 7.367 (11.9%) for Kia overtaking Toyota, down to #3 in February due to sales up just 2%. Skoda (+32%) is also in great shape at #4. Further down, Citroen is up 127% to #7, Nissan up 130% to #8, Volkswagen up 50% to #9 and Peugeot up 79% to #12. Dacia (+38%), Fiat (+53%), Audi (+76%) and Ford (+90%) also shine.
