Colombia January 2016: Chevrolet resists on top, Mazda up to 4th place

Mazda is the only manufacturer in the Top 10 to gain ground year-on-year.

The Colombian new car market continues its freefall at -21% in January to 16.763 registrations. Chevrolet keeps the led and improves its share thanks to sales down “just” 11% to 4.324 units, followed by Renault (-5%) and Kia (-14%). At +10%, Mazda is the only manufacturer in the Top 10 to gain ground year-on-year. Notice also Mercedes down just 3% at #11, Hino up 13% to #12, Subaru down 3% to #23 and ChangAn up 19% to #25. Other Chinese brands are suffering, with Chery down 59% (#13), Foton down 61% (#15) and JAC down 70% (#20).
