The Polish new car market is up a very dynamic 10% year-on-year in 2015 to 407.945 registrations, with a very stable brands ranking: the Top 7 is unchanged on 2014. Skoda dominates once again but sees its market share slide from 11.9% to 11.2% due to sales up just 3% to 45.522. Parent brand Volkswagen follows (+14%) ahead of Toyota (+16%), Opel (+14%), Ford (+12%) and Renault (+15%). Inside the Top 20, Peugeot (-7%) and Citroen (-18%) are the only carmakers to see their volume decline year-on-year while reversely Nissan (+21%), Mercedes (+26%), BMW (+24%), Mazda (+24%) and Seat (+30%) post very strong gains. Further down, Lexus (+46%), Jaguar (+50%), Jeep (+54%), Smart (+54%), Iveco (+59%) and SsangYong (+93%) take off.
The Ford Mondeo is up 69% in Poland.
The Skoda Octavia tops the models ranking for the second year running and the 6th time in total, a reign it started in 2009, only interrupted in 2013 by the Skoda Fabia. The Fabia is catching up fast though, with sales up 21% to 12.389 vs. +1% and 14.193 for the Octavia. The VW Golf (+27%), Opel Astra (+21%), Toyota Yaris (+22%) and Auris (+21%) follow and all outpace the market. The VW Passat is up 29% to #10, the Renault Clio up 23% to #11, Nissan Qashqai up 22% to #13, Ford Mondeo up 70% to #17 and Opel Mokka up 63% to #19.
